Residential Respite Service for Persons with Disabilities

Residential respite services provide temporary or short-term residential care service for persons with disabilities, with a view to provide temporary relief for main caregivers of persons with disabilities, while encouraging and helping persons with disabilities to continue living in the community for as long as possible.

Day Respite Service for Persons with Disabilities

Day Respite services provide persons with disabilities with short-term day care, with a view to provide temporary relief for carers so that they may take short-term breaks or attend to other matters when required, while encouraging and helping persons with disabilities to continue living in the community for as long as possible.

Emergency Placement for Persons with Disabilities

Private RCHDs under BPS which provide designated residential respite places can arrange emergency placement for persons with disabilities.

Residential Respite Service for the Elderly

Residential respite service is provided in some subvented residential care homes for the elderly (RCHEs), private homes participating in Enhanced Bought Place Scheme (EBPS Homes) and contract homes. It aims at providing temporary relief for the main caregivers of elders requiring a constant personal care whilst residing in the community.

Day Respite Service for the Elderly

Day Respite Service provide elderly persons living in the community with short-term day care. They provide relief for carers so that they may take short-term breaks or attend to other matters when required. They aim at encouraging and helping elderly persons to continue living in the community for as long as possible.

Emergency Placement for the Elderly

Emergency placement is provided in some subvented residential care homes for the elderly (RCHEs) and nursing homes. It aims at guarding the elders against risks arising from lacking of immediate care/accommodation by providing emergent and temporary residential care.
